3/14/25 - Friday Video Share: "Trailer | CHANGE, NOT CHARITY: THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT | American Experience | PBS"

Marking this week's 35th anniversary of the "Capitol Crawl," one of the most iconic advocacy actions in modern disability history ... some new video and audio that really does bring history alive.
Trailer | CHANGE, NOT CHARITY: THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT
American Experience | Public Broadcasting Service - March 6, 2025
This is the official trailer for a new documentary about the Americans with Disabilities Act, premiering March 25, 2025 on PBS's premier history series, The American Experience. It looks great, though it's hard to tell whether it will offer any insights that would be new to people already familiar with the subject. I'm sure there will be more to discuss about the documentary after it airs.
Here is a version of the trailer with Audio Description ...
And here's a segment from the BBC featuring one of people shown in the documentary, and one of the key participants in the fight for the ADA, Anita Cameron, talking about the "Capitol Crawl" protest for the Americans with Disabilities Act ...

Have a terrific weekend!
